Real people, accredited help, and tools that cost you nothing
We built this hub for one reason: too many veterans leave money and benefits on the table because no one ever explained the system in plain English. We fix that with free tools, honest guidance, and VA-accredited representation when you want a hand.

Who we are
We are an accredited VA claims practice paired with a free education hub. On one side, our calculators and guides help any veteran understand their rating, their back pay, and the benefits they qualify for, with nothing to buy and nothing to sign up for. On the other, a VA-accredited claims agent and a team of advocates stand ready to represent veterans who want experienced help with a claim or appeal.
The two sides share one belief: the VA system is confusing by design, and a veteran who understands the rules gets a fairer outcome. Everything we publish is built to close that gap, not to trap you in a funnel.
Albert Thombs
Founder & Accredited Claims Agent
Albert has spent more than two decades in and around the VA claims system, and he built this practice on a simple promise: explain the process honestly, respect the veteran's intelligence, and only charge when it is fair to do so. As a VA-accredited claims agent, he is held to federal standards of conduct, and he keeps his accreditation number public so any veteran can verify exactly who they are working with.
Today he leads a team of advocates who share that standard, backed by AI-assisted tools that handle the math and the paperwork so the human conversation can stay focused on the veteran.
What makes us different
Plenty of companies want to “help” with your claim. Here is what sets our approach apart.

Free tools, no email wall
Combined rating, TDIU, back pay, and toxic-exposure calculators are open to everyone. No sign-up, no drip emails, no hidden upsell just to see your numbers.
- No account required
- Nothing to install
- Instant estimates

Plain-English guidance
The VA speaks in regulations and acronyms. We translate the parts that decide your rating and your check into language any veteran can act on.
- Step-by-step benefit guides
- Real examples, not jargon
- Answers on demand from Albert

Accredited & accountable
Representation is provided by a VA-accredited claims agent (accreditation #45147), held to federal standards of conduct and fee rules, not an anonymous “claim shark.”
- VA-accredited agent
- Fees follow federal law
- Your file, your control
What we stand for
Four principles guide every tool we build and every claim we touch.
Education before anything else
Every veteran deserves to understand their own claim. We explain the rules, the ratings, and the money in plain English before we ever talk about representation.
Access without a paywall
Our calculators, guides, and forms are free to use with no account, no email wall, and no pressure. Learning what you have earned should never cost you anything.
Accountable representation
When a veteran wants hands-on help, they work with a VA-accredited agent who is bound by federal rules of conduct. Our accreditation number is public for a reason.
The whole picture
We look past a single rating decision to secondary conditions, effective dates, back pay, and special monthly compensation, so nothing you are owed slips through the cracks.
Meet the team
Behind the tools is a team of 10 advocates who work directly with veterans. We are finalizing each advocate's profile now — names, backgrounds, and specialties are coming soon to the spaces below.
Have a question about your benefits?
There is no cost and no obligation to talk. Ask Albert a question, send an email, or pick up the phone — whatever is easiest for you.
